Kim Zmeskal-Burdette, America's first World Champion gymnast and Olympic medalist invites you to be part of the Texas Prime Meet

"Prime Meet", it's a pun

In Texas, meat is quality graded with PRIME being the stamp given to only the most excellent cuts.  These "meats" are graded so you'll know what type of experience you're getting.  If they were, the quality of the venue, the competition, the food, the overall flavor and experience of our meet would certainly get the highest marks.  Come try our meet and find out why we are so proud, we include it in the name.

"Competing in the highest levels of competition in our sport, I wanted to take my best experiences at an event and roll them into an experience that all levels of athlete can enjoy" - Kim Zmeskal-Burdette

Whether you're coming for the great competition, for the experience of the Saturday night Legendz Classic, or in hopes to qualify to the Nastia Cup, we're ready to welcome you to the Texas Prime and show you some hospitality.

The Experience

Dallas is home to major sports teams, incredible restaurants, waterparks, Six Flags, zoos, and entertainment that will make your trip worthwhile.  The hotels and venue are 5-minutes from DFW airport, in Las Colinas, so there will be no rush or commute and lots more time for the kids to have fun, take in the sights, and the parents to enjoy a Tex-Mex margarita.

Brandy Johnson

1988 Olympic gymnast , 1989 World Championships silver medalist, and USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame Member.  The owner of Brandy Johnson's  Global Gymnastics in Florida, a coach and the mother of Elite gymnast, Sydney Johnson-Scharpf. .

Kristi Phillips

1987 National Champion, World Championships team member, and USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame member.  Kristi was the first to perform "the Phillips" on beam (above).  Brevet judge, coach, and the owner of KPAC (Kristi Phillips Athletic Center)

Anna Li

2012 Olympic Team alternate, 2011 World Championship team member, 8x All-American gymnast, and a 2010 NCAA National Champion.  Most recently, Anna was part of the Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions.

Mary Lou Retton

1984 Olympic All-Around Gold Medalist, 3x American Cup champion, International Hall of Fame inductee, and one of the most recognized athletes in the world.  Also, she was on the Wheaties box, people!

One of the highlights of our competition is the Saturday night "all-star" competition called the Legendz Classic.  Athletes from Friday's Level 9 and Level 10 competitions will be selected to comprise three teams, each captained by a World or Olympic "Legend", competing to see who will be crowned the Legendz Classic Champion.  Oh, and there's autographs after.  If you haven't had the chance to get first hand advice from Kerri Strugg before vaulting, a high five from Nastia after bars, or a hug from Shawn, this meet's for you.

There are nice venues, fun venues, and wow venues.  Then there's the Irving Convention Center.  This brand-new, masterpiece is stunning and serves perfectly to cater to our competition's needs.  With on-site parking, great concessions (and amazing catering for the coaches), as well as bleacher seating, and lots of restrooms, there isn't a more prime venue around.  (Have we gone too far with the "Prime" thing yet?)

An unforgettable experience

Incredible, actually.

Post competition

We've got sports

Whether you're looking to catch a game or just to visit the venues (btw, Cowboys Stadium tour is incredible), Dallas is any sports fan's dream.  Who knows, maybe you'll run into a player, get an autograph from Nolan Ryan, or even meet Mark Cuban?

Maybe you're looking for something a little more relaxed after the heart-pounding anxiety of competing on that beam, or maybe you just need some inner peace after being in a room with your little brother... Dallas is the place to calm your soul.  With the Dallas Zoo, the Fort Worth Zoo, the Dallas Arboretum, the Dallas Aquarium, and the brand new Perot Museum of Nature & Science, you'll have plenty to keep your family busy.

A different kind of park

So, maybe calm and cool isn't your cup of tea... you want something a little more wild... Dallas has you covered.  With Six Flags Over Texas or the indoor waterpark over at the Great Wolf Lodge, you're sure to wind up with some great screams and some much needed fun.
